Opis:POVZETEK V uvodnih poglavjih magistrskega dela smo opisali klasifikacijo razvojnih faz, pri katerih smo se nadalje osredotočili na obdobji od tri do pet in šest do sedem let otrokove starosti oziroma smo raziskovali prehode med posameznimi fazami predšolskega v šolsko obdobje. Podrobneje smo opisali in predstavili posamezne značilnosti likovnega izražanja mlajših otrok v predšolskem obdobju in značilnosti likovnega izražanja otrok v prvih razredih osnovne šole. Le prek razvijanja otrokove individualnosti v likovnem izrazu bo likovno-pedagoško delo dajalo ustvarjalne rezultate in učence spodbujalo pri njihovem lastnem likovnem raziskovanju.

Naslov:A NEW VIEW OF THE FEATURES OF CHILDREN ARTISTIC EXPRESSION IN THE TRANSITION PERIOD FROM KINDERGARTEN TO PRIMARY SCHOOL
Opis:SUMMARY In the introductory chapters of this master thesis we described the classification of the development phases, where we focused primarily on the children ages’ periods from three to five years and from six to seven years, that is we studied the transition phases between the various phases of the pre-school to the school period. We thoroughly described and presented the specific traits of the artistic expression of younger children in their pre-school period and the artistic expression of the first grade school children. We specifically focused on searching and analysing the usage of some universal signs and shapes in children’s drawings and their portrayal of human figures throughout the development phases. We set the main guidelines for the research of the artistic products in the practical part of our thesis by data comparison of the already existent research on the artistic expression. We were also interested in the artistic evaluation of the children’s art products and their artistic creativity. In the qualitative educational research chapter the survey procedures are meticulously described on a case study, which was also used in the following research. In our research we used an observational case study, with which we analysed individual pupils in their visual art performance precisely and systematically. We applied the descriptive and comparative method of empirical pedagogical research. In our study we examined the differences and similarities according to the universal shapes typical of a specific development period based on a precise analysis of children’s visual art works and artistic activity of two children. We were also interested in how a child, in transition from one to another development phase, develops its own, personal visual arts expression and how it upgrades and composes visual artworks, what shapes and forms frequently appear in its works, and in what way. With the case study we assessed the similarities and differences according to the universal shapes characteristic of a certain development phase and the existing shapes in the artworks of two children in the transition from the pre-school to school period, which is the transition from the children’s realism phase to the intellectual realism phase. The conclusion is that the ways to the objective, that is to the creation of a product, are very individual and vary between children, and that the pupils should be encouraged to search their own ways for the realization of a certain artworks task. It is only by the development of a child’s individuality in artworks expression that the artistic educational teaching will result in constructive results and encourage pupils in their own artistic research.
