Abstract:
Sladkorna bolezen spremlja človeštvo že tisočletja. Ne gre le za eno bolezen, kakor nakazuje ime, temveč za skupino presnovnih bolezni, ki jim je skupna zvišana raven krvnega sladkorja oziroma glukoze. Dolgotrajno zvišanje krvnega sladkorja vodi v kronične okvare oči, ledvic, živcev ter srca in ožilja. Z izbiro načina življenja lahko odločilno vplivamo zoper nastanek sladkorne bolezni in njenih zapletov. Diplomsko delo obravnava sladkorno bolezen in preprečevanje zapletov pri pacientu s sladkorno boleznijo. V teoretičnem delu je predstavljena sladkorna bolezen, njena razvrstitev, možni načini zdravljenja in zapleti pri sladkorni bolezni. Poseben poudarek je namenjen preprečevanju akutnih in kroničnih zapletov sladkorne bolezni, pomenu samokontrole in zdravstvene vzgoje pri pacientih s sladkorno boleznijo. V raziskovalnem delu so predstavljeni rezultati ankete, opravljene med stotimi pacienti s sladkorno boleznijo diabetičnega dispanzerja Splošne bolnišnice Topolščica. Ugotavljali smo izvajanje samokontrole sladkorne bolezni pri bolnikih in poznavanje možnih akutnih in kroničnih zapletov. Rezultati ankete so pokazali, da se pacienti s sladkorno boleznijo zavedajo pomembnosti samokontrole in da poznajo akutne in kronične zaplete sladkorne bolezni.

Preventing complications in patient with diabetes
Abstract:
Diabetes monitors human kind already of millennium. It isn't one disease, like it is remitting name, but behind group of metabolic diseases, that common raised level of blood sugar or glucose. Lastining raising of blood sugar leads to chronic damages of eyes, of kidney, of nerves and hearts and of veins. We can influence diabetes with choice of way of life decisively against occurrences and of her complication. Dissertation deals with diabetes and disabling of complications at patient with diabetes. Arrangement is introduced diabetes, hers intheoretical part, possible manners of treatment and complications at diabetes. Disabling of acute and chronic complications of diabetes is assigned special stress, meaning of self-control and health care aducation at patient with diabetes. Results of survey are introduced in research part, general hospitals of Topolščica finished between one hundred at patient with diabetes of diabetic clinic. We were finding implement of self-control of diabetes at patiens and knowledge of possible acute and chronic complications. Results showed surveys, that at patient with diabetes are aware of importance of self-control and that they know acute and chronic complications.
