Abstract:Agresivno vedenje v spletnih videoigrah je vse pogostejša raziskovalna tema zaradi potencialno negativnega vpliva na igralce in njihovo igralno okolje. Agresivno vedenje pri igranju spletnih videoiger lahko povezujemo z viktimizacijo, slabimi igralnimi izkušnjami in dolgoročnimi psihološkimi posledicami pri žrtvah. Diplomsko delo se je osredotočilo na razumevanje pojavnosti agresivnega vedenja v spletnih videoigrah v Sloveniji. Poudarek je na izkušnjah igralcev spletnih videoiger, dejavnikih, ki jih lahko povezujemo z agresivnim vedenjem in viktimizacijo, ter mehanizmih za preprečevanje ali zmanjševanje agresivnega vedenja. Izvedena je bila kvalitativna empirična raziskava z metodo strukturiranega intervjuja med igralci strateških in akcijskih spletnih videoiger v Sloveniji. Rezultati kažejo, da je verbalno nasilje najpogostejša oblika agresivnega vedenja med igralci spletnih videoiger, sledijo sabotaža, goljufanje in najmanj pogosto fizično nasilje. Po mnenju intervjuvancev med ključne dejavnike, ki so povezani z agresivnim vedenjem, sodijo tekmovalnost, frustracije in pomanjkanje komunikacije med igralci. Sistemi za prijavljanje neprimernega vedenja in kaznovanje agresivnega vedenja so ključni mehanizmi za zmanjševanje agresivnega vedenja. Rezultati raziskave dajejo vpogled v izkušnje igralcev in izpostavljajo pomen ustvarjanja varnega ter prijaznega igralnega okolja. Poleg tega prispevajo k boljšemu razumevanju dejavnikov, ki jih lahko povezujemo z odklonskostjo v spletnih videoigrah in jih lahko upoštevamo pri razvoju učinkovitih strategij za preprečevanje agresivnega vedenja v spletnih videoigrah.

Title:Aggressive behaviour in online videogames: experiences of players in Slovenia and victimization prevention
Abstract:Aggressive behavior in online video games has become an increasingly common research topic due to its potential negative impact on players and their gaming environment. Aggressive behavior during online video game play can be linked to victimization, poor gaming experiences, and long-term psychological consequences for victims. This thesis focused on understanding the prevalence of aggressive behavior in online video games in Slovenia. The emphasis was placed on the experiences of online video game players, the factors associated with aggressive behavior and victimization, and the mechanisms for preventing or reducing aggressive behavior. A qualitative empirical study was conducted using structured interviews with players of strategic and action online video games in Slovenia.The results show that verbal abuse is the most common form of aggressive behavior among online video game players, followed by sabotage, cheating, and, least frequently, physical violence. According to the interviewees, key factors associated with aggressive behavior include competitiveness, frustration, and a lack of communication between players. Systems for reporting inappropriate behavior and punishing aggressive actions are crucial mechanisms for reducing such behavior. The research results provide insight into players' experiences and highlight the importance of creating a safe and friendly gaming environment. Additionally, they contribute to a better understanding of the factors associated with deviance in online video games, which can be considered when developing effective strategies to prevent aggressive behavior in online video games.
