Title:Multimodalna analiza izbranih slikanic Bine Štampe Žmavc : magistrsko delo

Abstract:V pričujočem magistrskem delu je slikanica predstavljena kot knjiga posebne oblike, literarno-likovna umetnina. Pri tem je največ pozornosti namenjene odnosu med besedilom in ilustracijami, ki je stičišče dveh umetnosti svojih značilnosti in zakonitosti. Osrednji namen magistrskega dela je bil poskusiti celostno multimodalno analizirati izbrane slikanice, pri čemer sta izpostavljena tako literarni kot likovni vidik. S tovrstno raziskavo je bilo analizirano, kako se besedila Bine Štampe Žmavc pri oblikovanju celovitega umetniškega dela prepletajo z ustvarjanjem raznolikih ilustratorjev in kako literarno-likovna interakcija na podlagi sodelovanja z različnimi likovnimi umetniki spreminja svojo vsebinsko-oblikovno podobo. Osrednji sklop magistrskega dela tako predstavlja multimodalna analiza devetih izbranih slikanic Bine Štampe Žmavc z epskimi besedili. Raziskovanje je bilo usmerjeno predvsem na analizo odnosa med besedilom in ilustracijami, za kar je bil uporabljen skupek tako literarnih kot tudi umetnostnozgodovinskih metod. Iz ugotovitev sledi, da se v vseh izbranih slikanicah vzpostavlja za to obliko knjige značilna interakcija med besedo in podobo, pri tem pa med slikanicami obstajajo razlike, zlasti na oblikovni ravni tega odnosa. Vse slikanice izkazujejo značilnosti kakovostnih literarno-likovnih umetnin.

Title:Multimodal analysis of selected picture books by Bina Štampe Žmavc
Abstract:This master’s thesis presents the picture book as a book of a special form, a literary-artistic artwork. It focuses on the relationship between text and illustrations, which serves as a convergence of two arts with their own distinctive features and principles. The primary aim of the master's thesis was to conduct a comprehensive multimodal analysis of selected picture books, highlighting both literary and artistic aspects. Through this type of research, the analysis examines how Bina Štampe Žmavc’s texts intertwine with the work of various illustrators to create a complete artwork, and how the literary-artistic interaction shapes its content and form in collaboration with different artists. The central part of the master’s thesis thus consists of a multimodal analysis of nine selected picture books by Bina Štampe Žmavc featuring epic texts. The research primarily focuses on analysing the relationship between text and illustrations, for which a combination of literary and art historical methods was used. The findings indicate that all selected picture books exhibit an interaction between word and image that is characteristic of the book form. However, differences exist between the picture books, particularly at the formal level of this relationship. All the picture books display the qualities of high-quality literary-artistic artworks.
