Title:Pomen skupnostnega tolmačenja pri premagovanju komunikacijskih ovir na Zavodu za zdravstveno zavarovanje Slovenije : magistrsko delo

Abstract:Skupnostno tolmačenje je pogosta oblika tolmačenja v Sloveniji, ki tujejezičnim osebam omogoča dostop do javnih storitev. Zaposleni na Zavodu za zdravstveno zavarovanje Slovenije (ZZZS) se dnevno srečujejo s tujejezičnimi strankami in se posledično zaradi neznanja tujih jezikov soočajo s številnimi komunikacijskimi ovirami. V magistrskem delu smo želeli ugotoviti, kako se zaposleni na ZZZS spopadajo s temi ovirami in kakšen je pomen skupnostnega tolmačenja v teh ustanovah. Želeli smo dokazati, da zaposleni na ZZZS niso seznanjeni s skupnostnim tolmačenjem in da se zaradi neprisotnosti tolmačev pogosto soočajo s komunikacijskimi težavami. V teoretičnem delu smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo, empirični del pa smo zasnovali na podlagi anketnega vprašalnika. Z izsledki smo dokazali, da zaposleni na ZZZS niso seznanjeni s skupnostnim tolmačenjem in da morajo pri svojem delu redno premagovati komunikacijske ovire. Poleg tega smo ugotovili, da ZZZS tujejezičnim strankam ne zagotavlja tolmačev in da se večina zaposlenih zaveda, da bi tolmač olajšal sporazumevanje s tujejezičnimi strankami.

Title:The Importance of Community Interpreting in Overcoming Communication Barriers at the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia
Abstract:Community interpreting is a common form of interpreting in Slovenia, which provides foreign language speakers with access to public services. Employees at the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia (ZZZS) interact with foreign language clients on a daily basis and consequently face many communication barriers due to their inability to speak foreign languages. In this master's thesis, we aimed to find out how employees of the ZZZS cope with these barriers and what is the importance of community interpreting in these institutions. We wanted to prove that the employees of ZZZS are not informed about community interpreting and that they often face communication problems due to the absence of interpreters. In the theoretical part, we used a descriptive method, while the empirical part was based on a survey questionnaire. Our findings have shown that employees of ZZZS are not informed about community interpreting and that they have to overcome communication barriers on a regular basis at their workplace. Additionally, we found that ZZZS does not provide interpreters for foreign language clients and that the majority of employees are aware that an interpreter would enable them to communicate with foreign language clients more easily.
