Title:Ekvivalenca slovenskih in angleških frazemov s sestavinami iz pomenskega polja samostalnika posoda : magistrsko delo

Abstract:V magistrskem delu sta s frazeološkega vidika obravnavani pomenski polji, ki ju kot nadpomenki urejata slovenski samostalnik posoda in angleški container. Na podlagi slovarskih virov v obeh jezikih sta prikazani pomenski polji, nato pa so prepoznani leksemi, ki se pojavljajo kot sestavine frazemov. Na izbrani skupini frazemov je izvedena medjezikovna primerjava slovenskih frazemov z angleškimi ekvivalenti in angleških s slovenskimi, pri čemer so določane tri vrste frazeološke medjezikovne ekvivalence, in sicer popolna, delna in ničta. Rezultati nakazujejo, da se iz obeh pomenskih polj kot sestavina frazemov pojavlja manj kot deset odstotkov leksemov. Prevladujoče frazeološko medjezikovno razmerje je v obeh sklopih primerjanih frazemov delna ekvivalenca.

Title:The Equivalence of Slovene and English Idioms with Components from the Semantic Field of the Noun Container
Abstract:The master's thesis takes a phraseological approach in examining semantic fields structured around the hypernym nouns posoda in Slovene and container in English. Dictionaries in both languages are used as sources for presenting the semantic fields and determining which lexemes from the two fields function as components of idioms. A selected group of idioms serves as a basis for the interlingual comparison of Slovene idioms with English ones and vice versa. The comparison focuses on assigning source language idioms and their target language equivalents one of three phraseological interlingual equivalence types, i.e. full, partial or zero equivalence. The results indicate that less than ten percent of lexemes from both semantic fields are components of idioms. The most frequent type of phraseological interlingual equivalence in both analysed groups of idioms is partial equivalence.
