Abstract:
V magistrskem delu sta predstavljena življenje in delo dr. Franca Pedička, pionirja šolske svetovalne službe na Slovenskem in utemeljitelja antropološke pedagogike. Najprej je orisana Pedičkova biografija s poudarkom na ključnih dogodkih v avtorjevi karierni poti, nato pa sledi podroben pregled Pedičkovih področij strokovnega dela, ki se raztezajo od obče pedagoških tem s snovanjem pedagogike kot znanosti do šolsko-sistemskih vprašanj, posebno pozornost pa je avtor posvetil tudi vprašanjem šolske in izvenšolske vzgoje, ki jih vseskozi vodi ideja celostnega izoblikovanja in upoštevanja človeka. V zadnjem poglavju je v kronološkem zaporedju podana rekonstrukcija strokovnih polemik, v katere se je Pediček vključeval v drugi polovici 20. stoletja in pozicij, ki jih je zavzel znotraj slednjih, s posebnim poudarkom na Drugem posvetu pedagogov na Bledu 1971. Avtorjevi pogledi na dogajanje v slovenskem šolstvu so strnjeni v njegovem končnem odzivu na prenovo šolstva v času osamosvojitve. V sklepu je podana umestitev avtorja v slovensko pedagoško misel in analiza njegovega prispevka za slovensko pedagogiko.

Title:
Franc Pediček the enfánt terríble of slovene pedagogy
Abstract:
The master's thesis provides a comprehensive overview of the life and work of Franc Pediček, the pioneer of Slovenian school counselling and a prominent advocate of anthropological pedagogy. The thesis begins with the author’s biographical account, placing a special emphasis on key events in his professional trajectory. This is followed by a detailed overview of the author’s scholarly work, ranging from general pedagogical topics and the conception of pedagogy as a science to specific concerns related to the school system. Special attention is given to the author’s outlooks on upbringing and education within the school environment and other areas of life. The latter are consistently based on the individual’s holistic development and consideration of one’s individuality. The final chapter provides a chronological reconstruction of the professional disputes Pediček participated in during the second half of the 20th century and the positions he took within these debates, with a special focus on the Second meeting of pedagogical workers in Bled in 1971. The author's views on developments in Slovenian education are summarized in his final response to the school system reform implemented during the period of Slovenia’s attainment of national independence. The conclusion places the author within Slovenian pedagogical thought and analyses his contribution to Slovene pedagogy.
