Title:Vloga pedagoga pri vzgojno-izobraževalnem delu z nadarjenimi in talentiranimi učenci v osnovni šoli : magistrsko delo

Abstract:Šolski prostor se nenehno spreminja, kar prinaša nove izzive in priložnosti za razvoj vzgojno-izobraževalnega dela. V zadnjih letih so bile te spremembe še posebej izrazite zaradi prilagoditev, ki so bile potrebne zaradi bolezni novega koronavirusa in pa kurikularne prenove, ki nas čaka. Magistrsko delo obravnava vlogo pedagoga v šolski svetovalni službi pri delu z nadarjenimi učenci. V teoretičnem delu smo preučili opredelitve nadarjenosti in talentiranosti različnih avtorjev ter zakonsko podlago za delo z nadarjenimi in s talentiranimi učenci v Sloveniji. Poseben poudarek smo dali procesu odkrivanja, evidentiranja in identifikacije nadarjenih učencev. Raziskali smo naloge šolske svetovalne službe in izzive, s katerimi se srečujejo svetovalni delavci pri delu z nadarjenimi in s talentiranimi učenci. Preverili smo kompetence pedagogov in primerjali programe slovenskih fakultet ter njihove vplive na samooceno kompetentnosti. Posebej smo se osredotočili na pomembnost stalnega strokovnega razvoja in nadaljnjega izobraževanja šolskih svetovalnih delavcev.

Title:The role of pedagogue in educational work with gifted and talented pupils in primary school
Abstract:The school space is constantly changing, which brings new challenges and opportunities for development of the educational work. In the recent years, these changes have been particularly distinct due to the necesary adjustments to the new corona virus disease. With these changes new reforms of the curriculum are aproaching. In Master's thesis we explored specific challenges and opportunities related to working with gifted and talented students in elementary school and its relativity to connection with the role of a teacher employed in a school counseling service. The topic of gifted and talented students is still pressing as schools are not enough aware of the importance of working with them which starts with discovering them. In Master's thesis we defined talent from the legal documents of the Slovenian school legislation. We also researched the implementation of the concept of discovering and working with gifted students in a nine-year school (1999) in practice and knowledge of profesional guidelines for the concept of identifying gifted children, students, pupils and educational work with them (2019). The first concept is currently the basic document for working with gifted students while the second concept is still in the making. We mainly emphasized tasks such as counseling service of working with gifted and talented students, forms of counseling assistance, help with identification and realization of an individualized program for gifted and talented students. We also researched competences the teacher acquires during education and they serve as a background knowledge for working with gifted students. There is a professional improvement of knowledge as a logical consequence to the role of educator as a coordinator working with talented students. Because of this we were interested in how much importance school counselors attach to profesional development and education and whether they have enough opportunities for professional development in Slovenia.
