Abstract:
Namen magistrske naloge je bil raziskati stališča učiteljev do ovir pri delu z romskimi otroki v pomurski regiji. Analizirali smo 9 naključno izbranih učiteljev, ki delujejo v pomurski regiji, kjer se srečujejo pri procesu izobraževanja romske populacije otrok. S prejetimi podatki smo ugotovili, da velik problem predstavljajo starši romskih otrok, a se zaradi nekompetentnosti poseganja v družinsko dinamiko vključujejo zunanje institucije. Starši romskih otrok se za proces izobraževanja svojih otrok v večini ne zanimajo, kar pripisujemo dejstvu, da je njihova izobraževalna raven nižja. Veliko pomoč za razumevanje romskega življenja in olajšane komunikacije predstavljajo sodelavke, ki so romskega porekla. V prihodnje bi pri izpolnjevanju zahtev zraven inkluzije ključni pomen za učitelje in učence predstavljalo vključevanje humanističnega pristopa k poučevanju in učenju ter tudi razumevanje in hkrati povečanje ozaveščenosti staršev romskih otrok glede doseganja določene izobrazbene ravni.

Title:
Teachers' experience of working with roma children in Prekmurje region
Abstract:
The purpose of the master's thesis was to investigate teachers' attitudes towards the obstacles in the work of Roma children in the Pomurska region. We analyzed 9 randomly selected teachers who work in the Pomurska region, where they meet in the process of education with the Roma population of children. With the data received, we found that the parents of Roma children represent a major problem, but due to the incompetence of interfering with family dynamics, external institutions are involved. Parents of Roma children are mostly not interested in the process of their children's education, which we attribute to the fact that their educational level is lower. Colleagues of Roma origin are of great help in understanding Roma life and facilitate communication. In the future, the inclusion of a humanistic approach to teaching and learning, along with inclusion, would be of key importance for teachers and students in meeting the requirements and understanding and at the same time increasing the awareness of the parents of Roma children regarding the achievement of a certain educational level.
