V magistrskem delu smo proučili učinkovitost sedem tednov trajajoče pozitivno psihološke intervencije, ki smo jo zasnovali in implementirali z namenom krepitve psihičnega blagostanja mladostnikov. Končni vzorec zajema 74 učencev osnovne šole, starih med 11 in 14 let (M = 12,03; SD = 0,79). Udeleženci so pred in po intervenciji izpolnili vprašalnike, s katerimi smo merili komponente subjektivnega emocionalnega blagostanja. Raziskali smo tudi njihovo doživljanje in vrednotenje programa. V programu sodelujoči udeleženci so poročali o višjem zadovoljstvu s prijatelji in šolo, hkrati pa o nižjem negativnem afektu v primerjavi z udeleženci kontrolne skupine. Medtem sprememb v splošnem življenjskem zadovoljstvu in pozitivnem afektu nismo prepoznali. Naše ugotovitve nakazujejo obetajoče posledice pozitivno psiholoških intervencij v šolskem okolju, obenem pa nudijo pomembna izhodišča za nadaljnje raziskovanje.

Title:Evaluating the efficacy of a positive psychology intervention for increasing students well-being
Abstract:Increasing amounts of data indicate a rise in psychological distress among children and adolescents, along with an unpromising situation in terms of life satisfaction. For this reason, it seems sensible to proactively develop and strengthen skills, character, and inner well-being, as this will help children and adolescents cope with difficulties and enable them to live full and satisfying lives. A tool often used to promote well-being is positive psychology intervention. In this master's thesis, we examined the effectiveness of a 7-week positive psychology intervention designed and implemented to strengthen adolescents’ psychological well-being. The final sample encompasses 74 elementary school students aged 11 to 14 (M=12.03; SD=0.79). Participants completed questionnaires measuring components of subjective emotional well-being before and after the intervention. We also explored their experiences and evaluation of the program. Participants in the intervention group reported higher satisfaction with friends and school and lower negative affect in comparison to the control group. However, changes in overall life satisfaction and positive affect were not observed. Our findings suggest promising outcomes for positive psychology interventions in the school environment and provide an important basis for further research.
