Teoretični del magistrskega dela opredeljuje pomembnost uvajanja angleškega jezika v prvo vzgojno-izobraževalno obdobje in modele poučevanja le-tega, vključno z integriranim učenjem angleškega jezika s plesom.

Title:The Influence of Dance on English Language Learning in the First Educational Period of Primary School
Abstract:The master's thesis, divided into the theoretical and the empirical part, is based on the examination of English language learning in the first educational period of Primary school and students' motivation for learning. Authors note the highest general motivation during this period, diminishing over time, highlighting the need for strategies to maintain or increase motivation in students to learn English. Integrating dance into English language learning proves to be an effective approach, where the student takes on an active role. Creative movement, as a teaching method, proves significant, especially in the holistic development of a child. Research links neuroscience, movement, and learning, confirming that movement positively influences academic success. The theoretical part of the master's thesis defines the importance of introducing the English language in the first educational period and models of teaching, including integrated learning of English through dance. The empirical part which took part at a dance school with 40 students in the experimental group and 41 students in the control group, confirms the positive effects of teaching English through dance on attention, participation, final knowledge, and motivation compared to traditional instruction, as it fails to fully utilize the potential of a child's creativity, imagination, and the need for movement. The inclusion of dance in the learning process increases motivation for further English language learning, opening new possibilities for improving instruction in the early educational period.
