Abstract:
Potek iskanja smo prikazali s pomočjo diagrama PRISMA. Pregledali in analizirali smo znanstveno literaturo in določili nivoje dokazov izbranim člankom.

Title:
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on adolescent anxiety
Abstract:
Introduction: COVID-19 is a disease that has led to a global pandemic worldwide. It has left a huge impact on overall adolescent mental health and anxiety. It affected them during education, growing up and the period when socialization is of greatest importance. The purpose of the thesis was to determine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the anxiety of adolescents. Methods: In the final part, we carried out a systematic review of the scientific literature, analysis, and synthesis in the field of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the anxiety of adolescents. The material was searched in the databases PubMed, CINAHL Ultimate, Cochrane Library and Science Direct, and the search process was shown in the PRISMA diagram. We reviewed and analysed the professional and scientific literature and determined the levels of evidence for the selected articles. Results: We included 9 articles in the final analysis. Based on the selected sources, we found that the COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected the lives of students, which is clearly reflected in their psychological well-being. The consequences of many measures, such as social isolation, social distancing, distance education and restrictions on student work, have triggered heightened anxiety, panic attacks and stress among young people. Discussion and conclusion: It has been found that the COVID-19 caused many problems such as the deterioration of student’s mental health and the emergence of anxiety. Therefore, it would make sense to establish improved social support and develop appropriate public health interventions to address the emotional, psychological, and social needs of adolescents.
