Abstract:Diplomsko delo se osredotoča na razvoj računalniške igre s pomočjo okvira LibGDX in sistema ECS (Entity-Component-System). Namen dela je raziskati in predstaviti uporabo sistema ECS pri ustvarjanju iger. Delo ponuja podroben opis vsakega vidika razvoja roguelike igre, vključno s komponentami, entitetami in sistemi. Poleg tega se posveti tudi praktični implementaciji tega pristopa v igri. Diplomsko delo predstavi uspešen razvoj igre Čhrono- Slime”in poudari prednosti, ki izhajajo iz uporabe sistema ECS. Skozi to delo smo spoznali pomembnost sistema ECS v kontekstu razvoja računalniških iger.

Title:Development of ChronoSlime video game using libGDX
Abstract:The thesis focuses on the development of a computer game using the LibGDX framework and the ECS (Entity-Component-System) system. The purpose of this work is to explore and present the use of the ECS system in game development. The thesis provides a detailed description of each aspect of creating a roguelike game, including components, entities, and systems. Furthermore, it delves into the practical implementation of this approach in the game. The thesis showcases the successful development of the game Čhronoslime”and highlights the advantages stemming from the use of the ECS system. Throughout this work, we have gained an understanding of the significance of the ECS system in the context of computer game development.
