Title:Primerjava vpliva na okolje pri uporabi dizelskega motorja ali plinske turbine za proizvodnjo električne energije v TE Brestanica : magistrsko delo

Abstract:V sodobnem svetu je proizvodnja električne energije nujna zaradi bolj množične uporabe električnih naprav in vse večjega povpraševanja po energiji. Podnebne spremembe se lahko štejejo za enega najbolj perečih problemov, s katerimi se trenutno sooča svet. Nekatere metode pridobivanja električne energije s premogom, nafto, zemeljskim plinom povzročajo neizogibne emisije toplogrednih plinov in številne negativne učinke na okolje. Temperatura narašča, dviga se morska gladina in še ena težava, ki je povezana s podnebnimi spremembami, je izčrpavanje fosilnih goriv. Vsem proizvodnjam je pomembno, da svojo energijo proizvajajo na učinkovit način in poskušajo zmanjšati njen vpliv na okolje. V magistrskem delu smo analizirali in primerjali uporabo različnih pogonov v Termoelektrarni Brestanica. Želeli smo ugotoviti, kakšen vpliv ima uporaba dizelskega motorja v proizvodnji; to smo primerjali s trenutnimi pogoni, ki jih imajo plinski bloki v Brestanici. Ugotovili smo, da ima dizelski motor krajši odzivni čas pri zagonu, zato lahko posledično tudi zmanjšamo emisijske vplive na okolje.

Title:Comparison of environmental impact between the use of diesel engine and gas turbine for electricity production at the Brestanica Thermal Power Plant
Abstract:In the modern world, electricity production is essential due to the widespread use of electrical devices and the increasing demand for energy. Climate change can be considered one of the most pressing issues facing the world today. Some methods of generating electricity using coal, oil, natural gas result in unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions and numerous negative environmental impacts. Temperatures are rising, sea levels are increasing, and another issue associated with climate change is the depletion of fossil fuels. It is crucial for all industries to produce their energy efficiently and attempt to reduce its impact on the environment. In this master's thesis, we analyzed and compared the use of different propulsion systems at the Brestanica Thermal Power Plant. We aimed to determine the impact of using a diesel engine in production and compared it to the current propulsion systems used in the Brestanica gas blocks. We found that the diesel engine has a shorter response time during startup, which consequently allows for a reduction in environmental emissions.
