Abstract:
Čeprav se v sklopu tretje iteracije spleta pojavlja vse več decentraliziranih aplikacij, večina spletnih aplikacij še vedno ostaja na tradicionalnih tehnologijah Web2. Popolna rekonstrukcija aplikacije, le z namenom, da ustreza ideologiji Web3, ni vedno najbolj smiselna. To pa ne pomeni, da tradicionalnih aplikacij ne moremo vsaj delno nadgraditi. V našem delu predstavimo razvoj in integracijo vtičnika Web3v spletno aplikacijo Moodle. Vtičnik s pomočjo kriptografske denarnice MetaMask komunicira s pametnimi pogodbami na omrežju verige blokov EduCTX, ki omogočajo profesorjem izdajanje digitalnih preverljivih certifikatov, študentom pa prejemanje, pregled le-teh ter posredovanje in dokazovanje lastništva le-teh. V delu med drugim prikažemo prednosti takšnega pristopa in povratne informacije uporabnikov, ki so vtičnik testirali.

Title:
Providing Web3 functionality for the Moodle environment
Abstract:
Although the third iteration of the web brings an increasing number of decentralized applications, most web applications remain on traditional Web2 technologies. A complete reconstruction of the application for the sole purpose of conforming to Web3 ideology is only sometimes the most reasonable option. However, we can still partially upgrade traditional Web2 applications. In our work, we present the development of a Web3 plugin and its integration into the Moodle learning management system. The plugin communicates with smart contracts on the EduCTX blockchain network using the MetaMask cryptographic wallet. Teachers can issue digital verifiable certificates, and students can receive, inspect, send, and confirm their ownership. Additionally, we demonstrate the advantages of such an approach and share feedback from users who tested the plugin.
