Title:The use of digital technologies by managers during and after the pandemic
Abstract:The thesis deals with the use of digital technologies by managers during the COVID-19 pandemic and their use and implementation in the work process, even after the end of the epidemic. Digital technologies contribute to the flexibility of employees by allowing them to work from home or remotely, while maintaining productivity. This flexibility was particularly crucial during the epidemic when physical contact was limited. It allows companies to adapt quickly to changing circumstances, while allowing workers to balance their commitments with the demands of their personal lives. It increases job satisfaction and commitment. Key digital tools that have been particularly valuable during the pandemic include meeting support tools and video calling platforms for collaborative document sharing and project management, as well as advanced communication tools such as communication apps and virtual workspaces. In addition, it is crucial to consider the security implications of the use of technology in view of the increase in transactions and communications, which increase the risk of cyber threats and data breaches. It is therefore crucial that managers and employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge to use digital tools, and that companies implement innovative security measures to protect data and the workforce. In this thesis, we investigated how the introduction of tools affected the efficiency of work processes and employee satisfaction in companies during the COVID 19 outbreak. In addition, we looked at the approaches used by organisations to introduce technology into their operations and the challenges they faced in doing so. Finally, recommendations are made for harnessing the potential of all workplace technologies to increase employee flexibility, productivity and satisfaction, regardless of health or other emergency conditions.
