Abstract:
Ta diplomsko naloga raziskuje vlogo tehnologije veriženja blokov pri kriptovalutah ter njen vpliv na varnost, zasebnost, skalabilnost in možnosti uporabe v drugih sektorjih. Cilj raziskave je bil ugotoviti, ali tehnologija veriženja blokov prispeva k večji varnosti in zasebnosti kriptovalut, ali je skalabilnost izziv, ki zahteva inovativne pristope, ter ali ima tehnologija veriženja blokov koristi tudi za druge sektorje. Naša raziskava potrjuje, da tehnologija veriženja blokov omogoča visoko stopnjo varnosti in zasebnosti pri transakcijah kriptovalut ter da ima potencial za preoblikovanje finančnih storitev, oskrbne verige, zdravstva in drugih sektorjev. Kljub temu pa obstajajo izzivi, kot je skalabilnost, ki zahtevajo nadaljnje raziskave in izboljšave. Sklepamo, da je prihodnost tehnologije veriženja blokov in kriptovalut obetavna, saj se pričakuje, da bosta še naprej pomembna inovacija v finančnem in tehnološkem svetu.

Title:
The technology of blockchain and its role in cryptocurrencies
Abstract:
This thesis explores the role of blockchain technology in cryptocurrencies and its impact on security, privacy, scalability, and potential applications in other sectors. The research aims to determine whether blockchain technology enhances the security and privacy of cryptocurrencies, addresses the scalability challenge through innovative approaches, and provides benefits to other industries. Our findings confirm that blockchain technology enables a high level of security and privacy in cryptocurrency transactions and has the potential to transform financial services, supply chains, healthcare, and other sectors. However, challenges such as scalability persist, requiring further research and improvements. We conclude that the future of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies is promising, as they are expected to remain significant innovations in the financial and technological world.
