Opredelili smo podjetništvo, podjetje in podjetnika. Pri tem smo se osredotočili predvsem na družinsko podjetništvo, nasledstvo in nasledstvene možnosti, načrtovanje in proces. Opredelili smo prednosti in slabosti družinskega podjetništva in predstavili organizacije, ki sestavljajo podporno okolje za podjetništvo. V empiričnem delu smo raziskali dejavnost čebelarstva v pomurski regiji, pri čemer smo s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika in desktop analize ugotavljali poslovne izzive dejavnosti.

Title:Beekeeping - supplementary activity on a farm or entrepreneurial challenge?
Abstract:Beekeeping is an agricultural branch that has become more and more established on the market and is becoming increasingly interesting also as a business opportunity. Slovene beekeeping is known for its rich history and tradition, therefore we believe that it can be considered a form of family entrepreneurship. In our Master’s thesis we looked into the legal basis of beekeeping in Slovenia and presented all the possible forms in which it can be implemented as an agricultural business activity. We analysed the taxation of beekeeping in Slovenia and the financial incentives that are available to beekeepers. We defined the terms entrepreneurship, enterprise and entrepreneur. Our thesis focuses particularly on family entrepreneurship, succession and succession options, as well as on planning and on the process. We defined the advantages and disadvantages of family entrepreneurship, and presented the organizations that provide a supportive environment for entrepreneurs. In the empirical part of the Master’s thesis, we focused mainly on the analysis of beekeeping in the Pomurje region. From the results of a questionnaire and a desktop analysis, we can determine that the most important competitive advantage for beekeepers is the quality of their products. To achieve the highest quality of bee products, it is very important that knowledge is passed on from one generation of beekeepers to the next, which indicates that succession is an important factor for the existence and continuation of supplementary activities on farms. The number of young beekeepers in Pomurje has been increasing, which is very encouraging. During the research we determined that beekeeping represents a good business opportunity, as the majority of beekeepers are hobby beekeepers, which means that there is a great potential for setting up a beekeeping business. There is room on the market to develop and expand the beekeeping business, while contributing to the development and progress of this field.
