Abstract:
Metode: Pri izdelavi zaključnega dela smo pregledali literaturo s področja telemetrije, njenega vpliva na zdravstvene izide pacientov s kardiološkim obolenjem in aktivnosti zdravstvene nege v podatkovnih bazah Science Direct, PubMed, SAGE Journals in CINAHL. Potek iskanja smo prikazali v PRISMA diagramu.

Title:
Nursing activities in performing telemetry and impact on health outcomes
Abstract:
Introduction: Telemetry is defined as the electrical activity of the heart muscle. It is one of the most important non-invasive tools for monitoring heart diseases and complications. Portable telemetry allows medical staff to monitor heart rate, heart rhythm, and any potential anomalies in the patient’s health. The goal of this final work is to present telemetry and its uses in a clinical setting, activities of the healthcare while performing telemetry, and to present health outcomes from the patients. Methods: During the writing of the final work, we checked the literature from the field of telemetry, its influence on the healthcare of patients with cardiologic diseases, and activities of healthcare in the databases of Science Direct, PubMed, SAGE Journals, and CINAHL. The course of searching is shown in a PRISMA diagram. We rated the power of the used research utilizing the hierarchy of pieces of evidence. The synthesis of the collected data was shown using the synthesis table. Results: We included 8 out of the 128 chosen articles in the final analysis that met the chosen criteria. We used the level 5 articles, also known as observational research. We discovered that the most common activities of healthcare are replacing the electrodes, correct hygiene of the skin, monitoring, and familiarity with the guidelines for filming telemetry, as well as familiarity with anomalies in the electrocardiographic signal. Discussion and conclusion: The use of telemetry on patients with heart rhythm anomalies contributed to safer and more quality patient treatment. By constantly monitoring the patient's heart rhythm and rate, we can prevent any potentially unpleasant experiences that could endanger the patient’s life.
