Abstract:
Uvod: Veganska prehrana je v današnjem svetu vse pogostejša, tudi v nosečnosti. Nosečnice, ki uživajo vegansko prehrano, si s takim načinom prehrane v nosečnosti ne zagotavljajo ustreznega prinosa hranilnih snovi, ki so potrebne za zdrav razvoj nosečnosti ploda. Namen diplomskega dela je ugotoviti, katera prehrambna dopolnila vključujejo med nosečnostjo v prehrano in, ali so med nosečnostjo dobile podporo zdravstvenih delavcev pri načrtovanju veganske prehrane. Raziskovalna metoda: Uporabljena je bila kvantitativna metodologija raziskovanja. Kot raziskovalni instrument smo uporabili anketni vprašalnik, ki ga je izpolnilo 30 nosečnic, ki so se v času nosečnosti prehranjevale vegansko. Rezultati: Ugotovili smo, da 97 % nosečnic uporablja uravnoteženo vegansko prehrano, pomagajo si z znanjem, ki so ga v 74 % pridobile na internetu in v 26 % od prijateljev in družine. Vse nosečnice vključujejo vsaj eno prehrambno dopolnilo k uravnoteženi veganski prehrani in pazijo na priporočila zdrave prehrane v času nosečnosti ali kombinacijo kompleksa prehrambnih dopolnil, namenjenih nosečnicam. Razprava in sklep: Ugotovili smo torej, če je veganska prehrana primerno načrtovana in uravnotežena, lahko zadostuje potrebam nosečnic v času nosečnosti in ne vpliva negativno na razvoj ploda ali izid nosečnosti. Nosečnice, ki se prehranjujejo vegansko, morajo biti temeljito poučene o prehrani in opremljene z znanjem o vseh morebitnih tveganjih, ki jih lahko tovrstni način prehranjevanja prinese v času nosečnosti.

Title:
Eating habits of vegan pregnant women
Abstract:
Introduction: Vegan and plant based diets are becoming increasingly popular in todays society, more and more pregnant woman are eating plant based diet during their pregnancy. Pregnant women on a vegan diet during pregnancy can't satisfy the needs for all the nutrients during pregnancy, that a pregnant women would need for a healthy growth of the baby and heathy pregnancy. Our aim during our research was to get to know which supplements pregnant women need to integrate in their diet in order to meet all the needs for a heathy pregnancy. In our resaerch we were intrested if pregnant women get enough advice and help from healthcare workers to get the knowledge and support regarding the balanced plant based diet during their pregnancy. Methods: In our research we used a quantitative method of researching. As an instrument of research we used a questionnaire, that was completed by 30 pregnant women, that during their pregnancy were eating a plant based diet. Results: From our questionnaire we've discovered that 97% of pregnant woman, from our research, were eating a balanced plant based diet, and that pregnant women searched and researched for informations about balanced plant based diet mostly on the internet (74% of them), 26% of pregnant women have got their advices for a plant based diet from family members and friends. All pregnant women used to integrate at least one pregnancy supplement to the balanced plant based diet or a combination of supplements that was made for pregnant women. Discussion and coclusion: From our research we've learned that a balanced and well planned plant based diet can be sustainable for pregnant women during pregnancy. Pregnant women that are eating plant based diet during pregnancy need to be taught and well directed about their diets and about the risks that a plant based diet can consist of at the time of pregnancy if it doesn't meet all the needs.
