Uporabili smo deskriptivno metodo dela, metodo analize, kompilacije, komparacije in sinteze. Literaturo smo iskali v mednarodnih podatkovnih bazah CINAHL, Pubmed in Cochrane Library.

Title:Preventive interventions for human papillomavirus infection prevention in adults
Abstract:Introduction: Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a sexually transmitted disease that spreads through different forms of sex. HPV infection causes diseases such as genital warts, cervical, vulvar, anal, penile and oropharyngeal cancers. There is no known cure for HPV infection, so preventive interventions to prevent HPV infection are important. The aim of this thesis is to investigate effective preventive interventions to prevent HPV infection in adults. Methods: The final thesis is discussed on the basis of a review of the scientific literature. We have used the descriptive method of work, the method of analysis, compilation, comparison and synthesis. The literature was searched in the international databases CINAHL, Pubmed and Cochrane Library. The strength of evidence was assessed using the hierarchy of evidence. Data analysis and synthesis were based on thematic synthesis. Results: We included eight articles in the research, on the basis of which we conclude that there is no relevant and professional evidence as to whether vaccination against HPV infection in adults is as effective as in primary school children. We also note that most of the available research relates to vaccination, and less to other preventive interventions. Discussion and conclusion: Vaccination is the most reliable preventive intervention against HPV infection, although too few people use it and are aware of it. But there are still many preventive interventions, such as sexual abstinence, condom use, male circumcision and a healthy lifestyle.
