Title:Poročanje medijev o kriminaliteti v Sloveniji : diplomsko delo visokošolskega študijskega programa Varnost in policijsko delo

Abstract:Ni skrivnost, da so množični mediji praktično sestavni del našega vsakdanjega življenja. So del kulture ter soustvarjalci našega pogleda na svet, mnenja, stališč in spodbujajo kritično analizo dogodkov, ki so zgodijo oziroma dogajajo v sodobni družbi. Na nas začnejo neizogibno vplivati v sekundarni socializaciji, saj ta vedno bolj temelji na medsebojni komunikaciji. Omogočajo množično komuniciranje zaradi velikega in raznolikega občinstva, enosmerne komunikacije in odzivnosti svojega občinstva (branost, poslušanost, gledanost). Množični mediji kot dejavnik socializacije vplivajo preko naslednjih dejavnikov: čas, ki jim ga namenimo, sporočene vsebine in načina prikazovanja realnosti dogodkov ter izbor prikazanega. Ne glede na to v kakšni obliki, ena izmed bistvenih nalog množičnih medijev je objektivno poročanje. Demokratična družba strmi k enakosti znotraj skupnosti in posledično svobodnem načinu izražanja. Obstaja več dejavnikov zakaj ljudje tako radi pridobivamo informacije in ostajamo informirani. Razlog najdemo v čisti radovednosti, želji po boljši informiranosti, lažjemu oblikovanju konstruktivnega mnenja ali pa razumevanju različnih plati predstavljenega. Nekatere vsebine pritegnejo več pozornosti kot druge, veliko pa k tem pripomorejo tudi mediji sami z izbiro naslova, tiska, slikovnega gradiva in podobno. Kriminaliteta pogosto privablja zanimanje ljudi, zato je pogosto del različnih medijskih vsebin. V zaključnem delu smo preučili medije kot celoto, kako njihovo poročanje vpliva na sodobno družbo, najbolj pa smo se osredotočili na spletne poročevalce, saj smo na podlagi poročanja le-teh, opravili tudi raziskavo, predstavljeno proti koncu dela.

Title:Media reporting on criminality in Slovenia
Abstract:It is not a secret that mass media are practically a big part of our everyday life. They are part of our culture and co-creators on how everyone of us see the world, our opinion, thoughts on what we stand for and help us analyse events that happen or is happening in modern society. Especially in secondary socialization, mass media have an unavoidable impact on us because they are getting to be based on mutual communication more and more. For a reason that our society know many different public, one-side communication and reactivity of theirs public, mass media are offering us a multiple communication (act of reading, ratings). As socialization factor mass media effect on multiple other factors: the time, we give them; contents that they messaging us and the way they show reality of different events to public; last but not least, selection of shown contents. There is not a practical form to know which mass media do people rate, one of the main job of any mass media is objective communication to public. Democratic society wants an equal rights inside the world population and freedom of speech. The public know multiple factors why people like to read, view any information and to stay informed that much. We can find the reason in public curiosity, wish to be well-informed, easy forming constructive opinion or understanding different terms of present contents. One of contents of mass media have better ratings than others, but a big part is done by themselves witch a selection of title, print, picture selection and others. The one topic that attract people to view any of a mass media is definitely criminality. The finish work is based on researching media as whole and their impact on modern world population. The main theme of the assignment are online articles that we also used in research. We analyzed sources of reported crimes, which of them are reported the most and how. Our results were collected in one month. They are present at the end of the document.
