Abstract:

Title:
Care for the Health of Psychiatric Hospital Begunje Employees During the Covid-19 Pandemic
Abstract:
The aim of the master's thesis is to research the factors that will, in case of recurrent epidemics, recognise the factors of risk that influence the possibility of a burnout and the perception of the safety of medical workers' medical treatment. We used a quantitative non-experimental method of research. Regarding the research instruments, two questionnaires were used. The statistical population encompassed all the employees in one of the Slovenian hospitals. An appropriate organisation of a hospital during an epidemic is positively associated with the employees' sense of providing safety for the patients during an epidemic. In the research, we are identifying the importance of communication of the medical organisations' management during an epidemic. A higher self-assessment of the interviewees' communication with the management during an epidemic is positively associated with the employees’ sense of providing safety for the patients during an epidemic and negatively associated with the employees feeling burned out during an epidemic in the field of depersonalization. Appropriate cooperation among the vocational groups during an epidemic is negatively associated with the employees feeling burned out during an epidemic in the field of depersonalization. The responsibility of the hospitals' management during an epidemic is to enable solid cooperation between different vocational groups with appropriate leadership, organisation and communication.
