Abstract:
Linguistic Landscape je pretežno nova tema, njene raziskave pa sodijo na področje sociolingvistike. Gre predvsem za področje jezikoslovja oz. natančneje sociolingvistike, pogosto v povezavi s turizmom. V nalogi bo Linguistic Landscape konkretno raziskan na primeru turističnega kraja Podčetrtek, kjer bo ugotovljena prisotnost tega pojava in kakšno podobo predstavlja ta pojav za turistično mesto Podčetrtek. Naloga je sestavljena iz teoretičnega in empiričnega dela. V teoretičnem delu je opisana terminologija pojma Linguistic Landscape, uporaba jezika v javnem prostoru ter nekaj podatkov o samem kraju Podčetrtek. V empiričnem delu naloge, pa je predstavljena kvantitativna metoda analize pridobljenih rezultatov, ki so bili zbrani na podlagi fotografij, analiza ter rezultat raziskave. Cilj naloge je ugotoviti kateri jeziki se pojavljajo na katerih vrstah napisov in kako je to povezljivo z usmerjenostjo kraja kot turističnega središča, kar bo obsegalo vse vrste turistične ponudbe. Pri sami raziskavi opisov je poudarek na trajnosti ter materialu napisov.

Title:
Linguistic Landscape on the Example of Podčetrtek as a Tourist Destination
Abstract:
Linguistic Landscape is a largely new topic, and its research falls within the field of sociolinguistics. It is mainly in the field of study of linguistics, or more specifically sociolinguistics, often in connection with tourism. In this thesis, the Linguistic Landscape will be concretely investigated in the case of the tourist town of Podčetrtek, where the presence of this phenomenon will be identified and what image it presents for the tourist town of Podčetrtek. The assignment consists of a theoretical and an empirical part. The theoretical part describes the terminology of the Linguistic Landscape, the use of language in public space and some information about Podčetrtek itself. In the empirical part of the thesis, the quantitative method of analysis of the results obtained from the photographs, the analysis and the result of the research are presented. The aim of the thesis is to identify which languages appear on which types of signs and how this relates to the orientation of the place as a tourist destination, which will cover all types of tourist offer. The study of the inscriptions itself focuses on the durability and the material of the inscriptions.
