Abstract:

Title:
Design and development of protective chainsaw clothing
Abstract:
The master thesis presents development of protective chainsaw trousers. Initial part comprises the research phase, which examines personal protective equipment for forestry in general and further analyses protective clothing. The thesis examines criteria for personal protective clothing and additionally analyses examples of protective clothing on the market. The second part of the master thesis presents the survey report, which served, based on the answers from professional lumbers, as a starting point for development of protective trousers. Designed solution considers ergonomics of forestry, functional textiles and fashion trends. Solution and its functional details are precisely presented with construction sketches.
