Abstract:Delo diplomskega projekta obravnava stereotipe o računovodjih, ki jim jih ljudje pripisujejo na podlagi šal. Računovodje so, po definiciji Slovarja slovenskega knjižnega jezika (SSKJ 2014) tisti, ki se ukvarjajo z vrednostnim izražanjem poslovnih dogodkov in njihovo analizo. Veliko ljudi ne pozna in ne razume dela računovodij, vendar pa o njih vedo, da veliko delajo, večino delovnega časa preživijo v pisarni za računalnikom in se ukvarjajo s številkami. Na podlagi teh (ne)znanih informacij so se razvile šale o njih. Ker pa ljudje radi stvari, o katerih ne vedo veliko, posplošujejo, so lastnosti teh šal o računovodjih posplošili na vse ljudi, ki opravljajo ta poklic.

Title:Stereotypes about accountants as revealed by jokes at their expense
Abstract:The bachelor's thesis addresses the stereotypes people attribute to accountants based on jokes about them. Accountants, as defined by the Slovenian Dictionary of the Literary Language (SSKJ 2014), are those who are involved in the valuation and analysis of business events. Many people don't know or understand the work of accountants, but what they do know about them is that they work hard, spending most of their working hours in an office behind a computer, crunching numbers. These pieces of information have led to jokes about them. However, because people like to generalise about things they don't know much about, the characteristics of these jokes about accountants have been generalised to all people in the profession.
