Abstract:Motivacija je gonilna sila vsakodnevnih procesov in delovanja posameznika.

Title:Motivational factors in the slovenian police during the COVID-19 pandemic
Abstract:The driving factor behind an individual's daily processes and behaviors is motivation. Since it is a source of human activity, it is significant not only in everyday life but also in the business sector. Every firm aspires to have highly engaged employees since happy and motivated employees are the backbone of any successful organization. Since the uncontrolled spread of a new coronavirus in early 2020 and the announcement of the COVID-19 pandemic, life has been turned upside down. Adapting to a new way of life, both personally and professionally, has generated bewilderment and anxiety. The police have always been heavily involved in this incredibly complex and unusual scenario. With the thesis, we wanted to study the motivation of employees at selected police stations and determine which motivational factors were present in employees during the COVID-19 pandemic and which predominated. We also want to emphasize the importance of highly motivated staff, especially in times of emergency or crisis, when motivating employees is even more critical and simultaneously more demanding. Based on theoretical starting points, quantitative research was designed to identify the most critical factors that affected employees at selected police stations in the Ljubljana Police Administration during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research results showed that the motivation to work among employees at selected police stations during the COVID-19 pandemic decreased compared to the pre-pandemic period.
