Title:Accumulation of shear stresses during vaccine transport
Abstract:In the master's thesis, modeling of a multiphase flow was performed based on the volumetric forces acting on the fluids during motion. In both simulations, the goal was to determine the amount of accumulated shear stress in the fluid. In the first simulation, we determined the amount of accumulated shear stress in the fluid as it moved in a vial on a laboratory device, specifically an orbital shaker. In the second simulation, the target was the same, but the vial, and thus the fluids within them, were subjected to a specific type of motion. The motion corresponded to the range of motion of the vehicle prescribed in the ISTA 3A transportation standard. The simulations were performed using the program ANSYS FLUENT. In order to obtain the appropriate input data for the motion in the case of motion tracking during transportation, it was necessary to perform the conversion of the motion protocol from PSD (Power Spectral Density) to fluid acceleration, which was done with the MATLAB software and numerical platform.
