Title:Industrija 4.0 in izzivi za management

Abstract:Priča smo velikim spremembam v našem okolju, četrta industrijska revolucija ali drugače imenovana Industrija 4.0 prinaša nove tehnologije in inovacije na številnih področjih. Industrija 4.0 bo močno vplivala na vse vrste organizacij in posledično na managersko prakso. V tem diplomskem delu obravnavamo pomembne tehnologije, ki so sestavni del Industrije 4.0. Čeprav Industrija 4.0 večinoma temelji na kibernetsko-fizičnih sistemih, smo preučili tudi druge tehnologije, kot so internet stvari, umetna inteligenca, storitve v oblaku idr. Izpostavljamo prednosti, ki jih ponuja organizacijam pa tudi določene izzive, ki se bodo pojavili. Industrija 4.0 bo organizacijam omogočila povečanje produktivnosti in izboljšanje proizvodnih procesov. Prav tako bo organizacijam omogočila, da se bolje povežejo s strankami in jih vključijo v proces oblikovanja izdelkov. Industrija 4.0 prav tako ponuja boljše delovne pogoje in varnejše delovno okolje za delavce, a hkrati ustvarja velike izzive glede pridobivanja novih znanj in usposabljanja zaposlenih. Pojav Industrije 4.0 predstavlja izzive na številnih področjih, od katerih je večina povezanih z njeno implementacijo. Naše delo je bilo osredotočeno na izzive za management. Ugotovili smo, da poleg številnih prednosti Industrija 4.0 prinaša tudi velike izzive, ki jih managerji morajo premagati, da bodo lahko uspešno implementirali Industrijo 4.0 v svoje organizacije. Managerji se bodo morali soočiti z izzivi, kot so izbira in oblikovanje strategij za pristop k Industriji 4.0, morali bodo oceniti stroške in koristi, ki jim jih Industrija 4.0 prinaša in ali so njihove organizacije pripravljene izkoristiti potencial novih tehnologij. Soočiti se bodo morali z izzivi oblikovanja nove organizacijske kulture, odprte za eksperimentiranje in spremembe, pripraviti bodo morali tudi druge zaposlene na uporabo novih tehnologij, in jim zagotoviti potrebne programe usposabljanja. Obravnavamo tudi temeljne koncepte, povezane z managementom in razvojem managementa skozi zgodovino. Verjamemo, da nam lahko pogled na spremembe, ki so se zgodile v preteklosti, pomaga pri soočanju z izzivi, ki so pred nami. Prav tako smo obravnavali potrebne kompetence za managerje v okolju Industrije 4.0 in podali predloge dobre prakse.

Title:Industry 4.0 and management challenges
Abstract:We are witnessing major changes in our environment, which are largely caused by the emergence of new technologies brought by Industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 will have a powerful impact on all types of organizations, and consequently on managerial practice. In this diploma thesis we examine important technologies brought by Industry 4.0, although Industry 4.0 is mostly based on cyber-physical systems, we also examine other technologies that are an integral part of Industry 4.0, such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, cloud services, etc. We analyze benefits that Industry 4.0 offers to organizations, but also certain challenges that will arise. Industry 4.0 will enable organizations to increase productivity and efficiency in manufacturing. It will also enable organizations to better connect with customers and involve them in the product design process. Industry 4.0 also create better and safer working conditions, but at the same time creates great challenges for workers who will be reluctant to improve their knowledge to successfully perform work tasks. The emergence of Industry 4.0 creates challenges in many areas, most of which are related to the implementation. Our work focused on management challenges. We found that in addition to many benefits, Industry 4.0 also brings great challenges for management, which managers will have to overcome to successfully implement Industry 4.0 in their organizations. Managers will have to face challenges, and for choosing right strategies for Implementation of Industry 4.0 in organizations, they will have to assess the costs and benefits that Industry 4.0 brings for their organizations, and decide whether their organizations are ready to take full potential of new technologies. They will have to face challenges of creating a new organizational culture open to experimentation and change, and also prepare other employees to use new technologies. They must provide them with the necessary training programs. We examine the basic concepts related to the management as well, and development of management, also industrial revolutions throughout history. We believe that looking at the changes that have taken place in the past can help us face the challenges that lie ahead. We also examine the necessary competencies for management in Industry 4.0 and build some suggestions for good practice.
