Raziskava je potekala v decembru 2020 in v januarju 2021. Podatki so bili statistično analizirani s pomočjo programa SPSS.

Title:The views and beliefs of nursing students of the vaccination against seasonal flu
Abstract:Introduction: Nurse students are the future of healthcare; as future healthcare workers, they should set an example for the general population with their high vaccination rates. Nevertheless, studies show that vaccination rates against influenza among nurse students and the general population are low. The purpose of this study is to find out the vaccination rates against influenza of nurse students. Methods: Quantitative methodology was used. To review the views and beliefs of nursing students about seasonal influenza vaccination, a questionnaire was made, which was completed by 138 nursing students. The survey was conducted in December 2020 and January 2021. Data were statistically analysed using the SPSS program. Results: Among the nursing students who participated in the study, 35% were vaccinated against influenza. The most common response among students was that they were vaccinated to protect their health; the second most common response was offered the vaccine free of charge. However, the most frequent reason for rejecting the vaccine was that the respondents had never had the flu, and the second most frequent response was the fear of side effects. Conclusions: The limitations of increasing the vaccination coverage of nursing students are that nursing students do not feel threatened by the flu, and they fear the side effects. Vaccination against influenza could be increased with appropriate measures to increase vaccination rates.
