Abstract:Uvod: Timsko delo, dobri medsebojni odnosi in kakovostna obravnava so na vseh področjih dela v zdravstvu izrednega pomena, še posebej v enotah intenzivne terapije, kjer je zdravstveno stanje obolelih življenjsko ogrožajoče, obravnava pa zahteva specialna znanja s področja intenzivne terapije. Razprava in sklep: Delo v enoti intenzivne terapije zahteva multidisciplinarni pristop z visoko mero medsebojnega sodelovanja in sistematične organizacije.

Title:Teamwork and interactions of workers in the intensive care unit
Abstract:Introduction: Teamwork, good interpersonal relationships and quality treatment are extremely important in all areas of work in health care, especially in intensive care units, where the health status of patients is life-threatening, and treatment requires specialist knowledge of intensive care. Methods: In the master's thesis we used a descriptive method of work. We conducted a quantitative, cross-sectional survey; the instrument was a survey questionnaire. This one was distributed among 80 employees in a health care institution, in two different environments, in the internal medicine intensive care unit and in the COVID intensive care unit of a public institution. Results: The results showed that mutual communication in the COVID intensive care unit team is more appropriate than in the internal medicine intensive care unit. In the COVID intensive care unit, respondents report feeling happy and positive, and say they communicate effectively and openly with each other. In the internal medicine intensive care unit, the results are very scattered for all the statements, which means that the respondents are of different opinions and have a different view of the interrelationships in the team. Statistically, the respondents working in the internal medicine intensive care unit of feel more pressured than the respondents working in in the COVID intensive care unit. Discussion and conclusion: Working in an intensive care unit requires a multidisciplinary approach, with a high degree of cooperation and systematic organization. We found that regardless of the conditions one u works in, or the unpredictable situations one encounters at work, it is important to have a team of co-workers to whom one can turn in any situation, seek help from, trust and support.
