Abstract:Sledenje in identifikacija uporabnikov predstavljata pomembna temelja zagotavljanja višje stopnje varnosti in boljše uporabniške izkušnje ter kritično vplivata na izboljševanje poslovnih procesov. V diplomski nalogi smo raziskali in analizirali različne načine identifikacije uporabnikov spletnih strani. Opisali smo aktualne metode sledenja, kot so piškotki in tehnologije digitalnega »fingerprintinga«, hkrati pa slednje implementirali v razvito programsko rešitev. Programsko rešitev smo zasnovali tako, da omogoča identifikacijo izbranega uporabnika na osnovi njegovega digitalnega prstnega odtisa, dodatno pa smo pripravili tudi prijavni sistem.

Title:An API for user identification on the web
Abstract:Tracking and identification of users represent an important pillar in ensuring better security and user experience, as well as provide critical insight for helping improve business models. In this thesis, we have studied and analysed different user-tracking methods, such as cookies and other digital fingerprinting methods. Additionally, we have developed a working API, which identifies a user, based on his digital fingerprint. To provide a complete solution, we have also developed a login / registration system.
