Title:Animal care centre, Tezno
Abstract:Throughout history, we can see massive development and growth in care for small animals. This is shown in our relationship with animals, which has become more and more ethical. In modern times there is a great emphasis on etiology, a science based on the behavior of selected animal species. Acknowledging behavioral patterns is the key factor in reducing stress levels, which is crucial in reducing the time of animal recovery. This results in veterinarians being less exposed and better prepared for aggressive and difficult-to-control animals. Collected data also improves the working conditions and quality of their work consequently bettering the customer experience. In our master's thesis, we have researched the possibility of developing a veterinary center, architecturally adjusted for modern small animal care processes. In the project part of our thesis, we have used analysis and variant studies of the chosen Maribor district of Tezno, to design a veterinary clinic for small animals with an added rehabilitation section. The project part also contains the arrangement of external spaces for dogs, that are connected with the external space from the existing animal shelter so that it creates a full circle of animal treatment facilities.
