Title:Kriminaliteta na podeželju v Cerknici : diplomsko delo visokošolskega študijskega programa Informacijska varnost

Abstract:Kriminaliteta je vedno aktualna tema, ki vzbuja večne odzive. Gre za temo, raziskovano s strani strokovnjakov iz področij, kriminologije, geografije in drugih. Sam pojem pomeni zbirko z zakonom prepovedanih oziroma kaznivih dejanj. Kriminaliteta se pojavlja tako v urbanih kot tudi ruralnih območij, vendar pa se velikokrat pojavljajo ugibanja in predvidevanja, kje je kriminalitete več. Neko splošno prepričanje pravi, da je v ruralnem okolju manj kriminalitete, saj je podeželje velikokrat predstavljeno kot idilično in mirno okolje. Dejstvo je tudi, da je v mestih več prijavljene kriminalitete, na podeželju pa velikokrat le-ta ostane prikrita – to velja predvsem za družinsko nasilje ter nasilje nad ženskami in starostniki ter za pridelavo nezakonitih drog. Tudi policijsko delo je na podeželju drugačno, predvsem majhnost in medsebojna povezanost in poznanost ljudi lahko vplivata na strogost delovanja policije, ki je v splošnem prizanesljivejša kot pa v mestnih okoljih. Raziskava kriminalitete na podeželju v Cerknici kaže, da se večina anketirancev počuti zelo varne, ter da je večina anketirancev mnenja, da je življenje na ruralnem območju bolj varno kot pa življenje v urbanih območjih. Prav tako raziskava kaže, da lahko v namen preprečevanja kaznivih dejanj na podeželju po mnenju anketirancev največ naredijo prebivalci sami (npr. z ohranjanjem dobrih sosedskih odnosov, postavitvijo video nadzora in tako dalje). Pri preprečevanju kriminalitete pa imajo večjo vlogo tudi uslužbenci policije, ki morajo svoje delo opravljati profesionalno, pravično in etično.

Title:Rural crime in Cerknica
Abstract:Crime is always a topical issue that often elicits strong responses. It is a topic researched by experts in criminology, geography, and other fields. The term itself denotes a collection of offenses prohibited by law. Crime occurs in both urban and rural areas, but speculations often arise as to its prevalence. It is generally believed that there is less crime in rural environments, as the countryside is often thought of as an idyllic and peaceful environment. There is indeed more reported crime in cities, but it often remains hidden in rural areas - this is especially true for domestic violence, violence against women and against the elderly, and for the production of illicit drugs. Police work is also different in the countryside. The interconnectedness of people in tighter communities can affect the strictness of the police, who are generally more lenient than in larger cities. A survey about rural crime in Cerknica shows that most respondents feel very safe, and that they believe that living in a rural area is safer than living in an urban area. The survey also shows that the residents themselves can contribute the most to preventing crime in rural areas (such as by maintaining good neighborly relations, setting up video surveillance, etc.). Police officers, who must perform their work professionally, fairly and ethically, also have a bigger role in preventing crime in rural areas than they do in urban areas.
