Title:Implementation of the visual communication through the graphic design on poster
Abstract:The purpose of this diploma thesis is to present the importance of the visual communication. More precisely how the visual elements on a composition can influence the meaning of the poster. The thesis contains two equally important parts, theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, we examine more closely what poster is, what the meaning of a poster is and we take a look how it developed through the years. Then we define visual communication and graphic design in general. In order to fully understand these two terms, we researched and defined the most important elements of one poster: visual elements, composition, visual principles, colour and typography. This is followed by definition of the creative process, which we divided into three phases. Finally, we researched different meanings of the chosen topic "Pomegranate". From that point on, we were able to develop ten different ideas for posters, and based on the theory we executed the best ten ideas. The last step of the practical part was argumentation of the usage of the elements on the composition.
