Abstract:
V zadnjem letu in pol je življenje spremenila prisotnost koronavirusne bolezni Covid-19. Podjetja so morala v kratkem časovnem obdobju prilagoditi poslovne procese in reorganizirati delo zaposlenih.

Title:
The impact of the covid-19 pandemic on the satisfaction of employees in the private sector
Abstract:
In the last year and a half, the life has changed due to the presence of coronavirus. In a short period of time organizations had to adjust business processes and reorganize work. In this thesis we researched the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the satisfaction of employees in the private sector. We wanted to find out if changes made by the companies affected the employee satisfaction. As the companies face the unpredictability of the future and the instability of the situation during the pandemic, it is even more difficult to take care of employee’s satisfaction than it usually is. In this diploma thesis, we obtained data for the research with the help of anonymous survey. We then converted the data into results with the quantitative method. The results showed that human contact in the workplace affects employee satisfaction. It can also be observed that the organizational climate in companies has changed, although most employees are satisfied with their work and are motivated to work. The research has shown that the unpredictability of the situation affects employees negatively and causes higher levels of stress. But at the same time, employees are satisfied with the companies’ measures to cope with the crisis. It is also possible to notice that the companies didn’t provide support for the most surveyed employees and didn’t take care of their satisfaction. To a large extent, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, private sector employees are satisfied with their employment, but the unpredictability of the future, the job instability and lack of human contact in the workplace have a negative impact on the employee satisfaction.
