Title:Sinteza π- konjugiranih polimernih pen z reakcijami navzkrižnega pripajanja : diplomsko delo univerzitetnega študijskega programa I. stopnje

Abstract:V sklopu diplomske naloge smo pripravljali polimerne pene s polimerizacijo v HIP emulzijah, z metodami C-C navzkrižnega pripajanja, pri čemer smo poli(p-fenilene) sintetizirali po metodi Suzuki-Miyaura, poli(m-etinil fenilene) po metodi Sonogashira-Hagihara in poli(fenil vinilene) po metodi Mizoroki-Heck. Uspešno smo sintetizirali poli(p-fenilene) in poli(m-etinil fenilene) s polimerizacijo HIP emulzije, kot primerjavo smo uspešno sintetizirali poli(m-etinil fenilene) in poli(fenil vinilene) v raztopini. Vzorce poroznih polimerov smo karatkterizirali s SEM, kjer smo videli značilno 3D makroporozno strukturo. Želeli smo pripraviti še poli(p-fenilene) v raztopini in HIP emulzije poli(fenil vinilenov), vendar nam zaradi netopnosti trdih baz pri poli(p-fenilenih) in uhajanja interne faze pri poli(fenil vinilenih) ni uspelo. Sintetizirane polimere smo primerjalno očistili z difuzijsko metodo in s super kritičnim CO2, primernost metod čiščenja smo nato preverjali z metodama FTIR in NMR spektroskopije. Določili pa smo tudi specifično površino emulzijsko templantiranih poli(p-fenilene) in poli(m-etinil fenilene), z adsorbcijo dušika po metodi BET.

Title:π-Conjugated polymeric foams via cross-coupling polycondensation reactions
Abstract:As part of the diploma thesis, we prepared polymer foams by polymerisation in HIP emulsions, using C-C cross-linking methods, where poly(p-phenylenes) were synthesised according to the Suzuki-Miyaura method; poly(m-ethynyl phenylenes) by Sonogashira-Hagihara method; and poly(phenylenes) by Mizoroki-Heck method. Poly(p-phenylenes) and poly(m-ethynyl phenylenes) were successfully synthesised by HIP emulsion polymerisation. For the comparison, poly(m-ethynyl phenylene) and poly(phenyl vinylene) were successfully synthesised in solution. Samples of porous polymers were characterised by SEM, where we observed the characteristic 3D macroporous structure. We wanted to prepare poly(p-phenylene) in solution and HIP emulsion of poly(phenyl vinylene); however, due to the insolubility of solid bases with poly(p-phenylene) and evaporation of internal phase with poly(phenyl vinylene), we failed at synthesization. The synthesised polymers were comparatively purified by diffusion method, and supercritical CO2; FTIR and NMR spectroscopy methods were used to check the suitability of purification methods. We also determined the porousity and specific area of emulsion templated poly(p-phenylenes) and poly(m-ethynylphenylenes), with adsorption of nitrogen by BET method.
