Title:Soočanje in doživljanje bolezni pri pacientih z akutno mieloično levkemijo

Abstract:Pacienti z akutno mieloično levkemijo (AML) se spoprijemajo z različnimi psihološkimi in čustvenimi vplivi bolezni. Namen zaključnega dela je ugotoviti, kako se pacienti z AML soočajo s čustvi in težavami ter kakšni so stalni vplivi bolezni. Izveden je bil sistematičen pregled literature z metodo pregleda, analize in sinteze znanstvene literature ter metodo kompilacije. Literaturo smo iskali s pomočjo iskalne strategije, ki je bila oblikovana na osnovi raziskovalnega vprašanja. Za kakovost poteka sistematičnega pregleda smo upoštevali smernice po PRISMA (Moher, et al., 2009) za oceno člankov smo uporabili Joanna Briggs Institutes ocenjevalno orodje ter za tematsko sintezo smo uporabili korake po Thomas & Harden (2008). Pregledali in analizirali smo 10 člankov. Oblikovali smo glavno vsebinsko kategorijo Soočanje in doživljanje bolezni pri pacientih z AML. Oblikovali smo najpogostejše podkategorije, ki so jih izpostavili pacienti, in sicer: Začetne reakcije na diagnozo, Izguba osebne avtonomije, Obnavljanje normalnosti v vsakdanjem življenju, Psihološki in čustveni vplivi, Soočanje z novo družbeno identiteto in Viri podpore. Pacienti AML doživljajo kot travmatično, šokovno situacijo. Soočiti se morajo s spremembo videza, z izgubo moči in zaupanja vase. Pogosteje morajo obiskovati bolnišnice in večkrat so tudi hospitalizirani. Njihovo vsakdanje življenje se zelo spremeni na fizičnem in duševnem področju, npr.: niso več zmožni telesnih aktivnosti, izgubijo občutek zaljubljenosti, moči, volje, energije. Pacienti so izpostavili tudi, da jim spolnost predstavlja težavo, saj je spolnost pomemben del vsakdanjega življenja posameznika, zato se priporoča več raziskav na področju spolnosti pri pacientih z AML.

Title:Coping and experiencing illness in patients with acute myeloid leukaemia
Abstract:Patients with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) face various psychological and emotional impacts of the disease. Aim of the thesis is to determine how patients with AML cope with emotions and problems and the permanent effects of the disease. A systematic review of the literature was performed using the examination method, analysis and synthesis of literature and the compilation method. We searched for literature with the help of a search strategy formulated based on a research question. For the systematic review quality, we followed the guidelines according to PRISMA (Moher, et al., 2009) and the evaluation of articles, we used the Joanna Briggs Institutes evaluation tool, and we used the thematic synthesis used the steps according to Thomas & Harden (2008). We reviewed and analysed ten articles. We created the main content category Coping and experiencing the disease in patients with AML. In addition, we designed the most common subcategories highlighted by patients: Initial reactions to diagnosis; Loss of personal autonomy; Restoration of normalcy in everyday life; Psychological and emotional influences; Dealing with a New Social Identity and Sources of Support. AML patients experience traumatic, shock situation; they must deal with a change in appearance, loss of strength and self-confidence. They must visit hospitals more often and are hospitalised several times. Their daily lives change a lot in the physical and mental area; for example, they are no longer capable of physical activities, they lose the feeling of infatuation, strength, will, energy. Patients also pointed out that sexuality is a problem for them, as sexuality is an important part of an individual's daily life, so more research on sexuality in patients with AML is recommended.
