Abstract:Spanje je fiziološki proces, ki je pomemben pri vseh starostnih skupinah prebivalstva. Ustrezna kakovost in količina spanja sta ključni za ohranjanje zdravja. Motnje spanja postajajo vse večji problem, velikokrat niso ustrezno zdravljene. Za njihovo zdravljenje lahko uporabljamo farmakološke ali nefarmakološke ukrepe. Kakovost življenja sestavlja več elementov. Namen zaključnega dela je raziskati navade spanja in prisotnost motenj spanja ter ugotoviti kakovost življenja ljudi. Uporabljena je bila presečna opisna raziskava z metodo anketiranja. V raziskavi je bil uporabljen vprašalnik The Pittsburgh sleep quality index – PSQI za oceno kakovosti spanja, ki smo mu dodali vprašanji, ki se nanašata na samooceno zdravja in kakovosti življenja. Raziskovalni vzorec je vključeval 300 oseb, starejših od 18 let. Rezultati so predstavljeni s pomočjo opisne statistike. S svojim zdravjem je zadovoljnih 70 %, nezadovoljnih pa 5 % anketiranih. S spanjem je zadovoljnih 60 % in 14 % je nezadovoljnih. Kakovost življenja ocenjuje kot dobro več kot 70 % anketiranih. V raziskavi smo ugotovili, da so težave s spanjem prisotne pri 30 % odraslih, ki so sodelovali v raziskavi. Najpogosteje navedena težava s spanjem je, da anketirani ne morejo zaspati v 30 minutah. Ugotovili smo, da obstajajo povezave med kakovostjo spanja in kakovostjo življenja ter samooceno zdravja ljudi. V raziskavi so glede na povprečno starost sodelovali večinoma mlajši in srednje odrasli, zato je bilo glede na druge raziskave zaznanih nekoliko manj težav s spanjem, saj kot je znano, se težave s spanjem s starostjo povečujejo. Motnje spanje so velik problem, saj zmanjšujejo kakovost spanja, posledično pa tudi kakovost življenja posameznika, zato je njihovo zgodnje odkrivanje in zdravljenje zelo pomembno.

Title:Sleeping habits and quality of life of adults
Abstract:Sleep is a physiological process that is important in all age groups of the population. Adequate quality and quantity of sleep are key to maintaining health. Sleep disorders are becoming a growing problem, often not without an appropriate treatment. Pharmacological or non-pharmacological measures can be used to treat these. Quality of life is made up of several elements. The purpose of the thesis is to investigate sleeping habits, the presence of sleep disorders and to determine the quality of people's lives. A cross-sectional descriptive study using the survey method was used. The study used The Pittsburgh sleep quality index - PSQI questionnaire to assess sleep quality, to which we added questions related to self-assessment of health and quality of life. The research sample included 300 people over 18 years of age. The results are presented using descriptive statistics. 70% of respondents are satisfied with their health and 5% are dissatisfied. 60% are satisfied with their sleep and 14% are dissatisfied. Quality of life is assessed as good by more than 70% of respondents. In the study, we found that sleep problems were present in 30% of the adults who participated in the study. The most commonly cited sleep problem is that respondents cannot fall asleep within 30 minutes. We found that there are links between quality of sleep and quality of life and self-assessment of people’s health. According to the average age mostly young and middle-aged adults participated in the study, so compared to other studies, slightly fewer sleep problems were detected, as it is known that sleep problems increase with age. Sleep disorders are a big problem as they reduce the quality of sleep and consequently the quality of life of an individual, so their early detection and treatment is very important.
