Abstract:Dandanes zaradi hitrega razvoja informacijsko-komunikacijskih tehnologij živimo bistveno drugače kot pred desetletji. Čezmerni uporabi elektronskih naprav so podvrženi predvsem mladi.

Title:Covert form of violence – cyberbullying
Abstract:Today, due to the rapid development of information and communication technologies, we live significantly differently than decades ago. Excessive use of electronic devices mainly affects young people. The development of new technologies and the use of these have brought many benefits, but unfortunately also many negative consequences. These include cyberbullying. Online violence from various denominations of domestic and foreign authors can be defined as violence in which the perpetrators use harassment, intimidation, torture, extortion and stalking. In this form of violence, attackers may resort to one or more of the aforementioned forms of violence and commit it in a manner of repetitive rather than repetitive acts. They are assisted by various information and communication technologies (ICT), such as: mobile phones, tablets and laptops. Various network and other connectivity with devices and applications allow them to carry out their actions / attacks quickly, covertly and prudently. In many cases, young people thus forget a key safety factor. In the research work, we looked for answers to whether young people recognize cyberbullying among their peers, whether there is a difference between boys and girls in who they would trust if they were victims of cyberbullying, how many hours a day they spend online, on which social networks they have active profile, which electronic devices they use, how much time they spend on average for certain activities (for example, reading emails, watching videos, working for school, and browsing the web), the extent to which certain behaviors constitute cyberbullying. The results of the research, on the one hand, bring concern and, on the other hand, provide a better insight into online violence among the Slovenian youth population and further analysis in the field of online violence.
