Abstract:V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili pomembnost individualizacije, ki omogoča, da se vsakemu otroku s posebnimi potrebami prilagaja podajanje učnih vsebin, organizacija dela, izvedba programa, cilji in pripomočki.

Title:Analysis of individualized education plans in kindergartens
Abstract:In the theoretical part, we presented the importance of individualization which enables every child with special needs with adjusted learning content, work organization, program implementation, goals and learning aids. We focused on the importance of individualized education plan, analysed the importance of team members in preparation of individualized education plan, and showed advantages and challenges that appear in the process of planning, implementation and evaluation of individualized education plans for special needs children. In the empirical part we analysed individualized education plans of preschool children with special needs (N = 39). We found out some shortcomings, for example, that in most cases (84,6%) the assessment of children’s functioning does not involve activities from the Curriculum for kindergartens, but it is a descriptive global assessment of children’s functioning; that in 64,1% of analysed individualized programs the role of kindergarden teacher is not mentioned; that in 30,8% of individualized programs there are no mentions about cooperation with parents; that 20,5% of programs do not include goals; and that 38,5% of programs do not include evaluation. The results of the analysis are important because they contribute to a better understanding of individualised education plans on the chosen pattern and show which improvements are needed.
Keywords:Individualized education plan, special needs children, preschool education, individualization.
