Abstract:
Metode: Uporabljen je bil pregled literature v podatkovnih bazah PubMed, ScienceDirect in SAGE. Iskanje je potekalo od 10. do 11. 9. 2019. Identificirali smo 347 zadetkov, od tega smo v končno analizo vključili 15 člankov. Rezultate smo opredelili z metodo vsebinske analize. Rezultati: Vključene članke na glavno temo padci pri starejših ljudeh smo razdelili glede na tri teme sekundarnega nivoja: (1) pogostost padcev, (2) dejavniki tveganja in (3) ukrepi za preprečevanje padcev. Ugotovili smo veliko dejavnikov, ki pripomorejo k večjemu tveganju za padce (npr. višja starost, ženski spol, predhodni padci, strah pred padcem, težave pri hoji itd.). Razprava in sklep: Z večjim tveganjem za padec so povezani številni dejavniki. Najučinkovitejši ukrepi za preprečevanje padcev so telesna vadba, redno preverjanje odmerkov in vrste zdravil, prilagoditev bivalnega okolja, izboljšanje vida, nošenje ustrezne obutve in zagotavljanje zadostnega števila zaposlenih. Dobro poznavanje dejavnikov tveganja in ukrepov za preprečevanje padcev je za diplomirane medicinske sestre v patronažnem varstvu izredno pomembno

Title:
Preventing falls in home environment of the geriatric population
Abstract:
Introduction: The population is aging rapidly, which is also increasing the number of older people who fall. That will have health, social and economic consequences. Community nurses perform a risk assessment for falls and advise on appropriate measures. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the most common risk factors for falls and the most effective measures to prevent falls in the home environment. Methods: A review of literature in PubMed, ScienceDirect and SAGE databases was made. The search took place from 10th of September to 11th of September 2019. We identified 347 hits, of which 15 articles were included in the final analysis. The results were defined by the method of content analysis. Results: The included articles on the main topic Falls in the elderly were divided according to three secondary level topics: (1) frequency of falls, (2) risk factors, and (3) measures to prevent falls. We found a lot of factors who associated with higher risk of falls. Discussion and conclusion: There are a number of factors associated with an increased risk of a fall. The most effective measures to prevent falls are physical exercise, regular checking of doses and types of medication, adjusting the living environment, improving vision, wearing appropriate footwear and ensuring a sufficient number of employees. A good knowledge of risk factors and measures to prevent falls is important for graduate nurses in community health care, as they will increasingly encounter this problem in all work environments due to the aging population.
