Title:Napredno konstruiranje bata visokozmogljivega motorja z notranjim zgorevanjem : magistrsko delo

Abstract:V magistrskem delu je obravnavana topološka optimizacija bata visokozmogljivega motorja z notranjim zgorevanjem. Gre za pogonski agregat, ki je bil uporabljen v pogonskem sklopu dirkalnika Formula Student. Prikazan je celoten potek od izračuna obremenitev, ki delujejo na bat med obratovanjem motorja, CAD modeliranja, trdnostne analize pa vse do končnega modela, ki smo ga dobili pri topološki optimizaciji. V sklopu razvoja pogonskega sklopa dirkalnika Formula Student je bil izdelan 1D simulacijski model s programom AVL Boost, na osnovi katerega dobimo tudi podatke o največjem zgorevalnem tlaku v valju, kar je eden ključnih podatkov pri izračunu obremenitev, ki delujejo na bat. Izhajali smo iz geometrije obstoječega bata. Na osnovi obremenitev, ki smo jih dobili z analitičnim izračunom, smo naredili trdnostno analizo bata v programu Abaqus, ki je potrebna za nadaljnje delo v programu CAESS ProTOp, kjer je bila izvedena topološka optimizacija bata. Narejeni sta bili dve različni optimizaciji ob upoštevanju nekoliko drugače postavljenih robnih pogojev. Rezultati obeh različic so predstavljeni in opisani na koncu magistrskega dela.

Title:Advanced Design of a High Performance Internal Combustion Engine Piston
Abstract:The master's thesis deals with the topological optimization of a high-performance internal combustion engine piston. It is the internal combustion engine that was used in the powertrain of a Formula Student car. The entire course from the calculation of loads acting on the piston during engine operation, CAD modeling, structural analysis all the way to the final model obtained in topological optimization is shown. As part of the development of the powertrain unit of the Formula Student car, a 1D simulation model was created with the AVL Boost software. On this basis, the data on the maximum combustion pressure in the cylinder was obtained, which is one of the key data in calculating piston loads. As a point of departure, the existing piston geometry was used. Based on the loads obtained with the analytical calculation, a structural analysis of the piston in the Abaqus software was made, which is necessary for further work in the CAESS ProTOp software, where the topological optimization of the piston was performed. Two different optimizations were made taking into account slightly different boundary conditions. The results of both versions are presented and described at the end of this master's thesis.
