Abstract:V diplomskem delu smo raziskali možnost vpliva računalniške animacije na ozaveščenost ljudi o ogroženosti določenih živalskih vrst. To smo želeli doseči z vplivanjem na čustva gledalca. V ta namen smo izdelali animacijo, ki prikazuje zgodbo dečka ter mladičkov tigra, severnega medveda in želve, ki so zaradi različnih dejavnikov, povezanih z delovanjem človeka, ogroženi. Da bi preverili, ali smo uspešno vplivali na gledalce, smo opravili tudi anketo o razumevanju ogroženosti pred in po ogledu animacije. V diplomskem delu smo tako poiskali podobne raziskave, opisali okolje Blender 2.8 ter proces ustvarjanja naše animacije in prikazali rezultate ter ugotovitve, pridobljene s pomočjo ankete.

Title:Computer animation as a tool for increasing social awareness
Abstract:In the thesis we explored the possibility of using computer animation to influence human awareness on topic of animal endangerment. To achieve that, we tried influencing the viewers emotions. For that purpose, we created an animation showing the story of a boy, tiger cub, polar bear cub and sea turtle hatchling, which are endangered due to human activity. To test successfulness in influencing viewers, we conducted a survey on understanding the threats to those animals, before and after watching the animation. In this diploma work, we presented a similar research, described the Blender 2.8 environment and the process of creating our animation. The results and findings obtained with the help of a survey are presented at the end of the thesis.
