Abstract:V magistrskem delu so predstavljeni rezultati, ki smo jih pridobili tekom odstranjevanja sledov organskih onesnaževal iz modelnih odpadnih vod z uporabo osmoznega procesa.

Title:Removal of trace organic contaminants from model wastewater using forward osmosis
Abstract:The master's thesis presents the results obtained during the removal of trace organic contaminants from model wastewater using forward osmosis. We used hollow fiber biomimetic aquaporin FO membranes, which have aquaporin protein molecules inserted on the inside of the fibers. We determined whether these membranes completely retain various active substances from the group of pharmaceuticals and personal care products, more specifically from the subgroup of pharmaceuticals, namely diclofenac sodium, naproxen, carbamazepine, azithromycin and sulfamethoxazole. We also performed forward osmosis under different conditions (pH, pump flow, flow direction, different volumes of DS and FS, concentration and type of DS). The results showed that forward osmosis is effective for the removal of pharmaceuticals from wastewater, and that a change in pH and DS concentration show the greatest impact on both the membrane and the course of the process.
