Starše in otroka učita o življenju s kronično vnetno črevesno boleznijo. Poudarjata o pomembnosti prehrane, ki v veliki meri pripomore k boljšemu življenju.

Title:Quality of life of children with chronic inflammatory bowel disease
Abstract:Theoretical background: For every parent, the quality of life of their child comes first. Chronic inflammatory bowel disease is life long, with various triggers and intermediate longer and shorter remissions. The right choice of diet gives a child enough energy in their daily life. It is important that they enjoy a healthy balanced diet so that they receive all the nutrients the body needs. In the concluding part, we presented chronic inflammatory bowel disease in children and the impact of diet on children's quality of life. Research methods: In the final part, we used quantitative research using the survey method. In describing the theoretical starting points, we used a descriptive method of work, we included Slovenian and foreign literature. In the empirical part, we used an anonymous questionnaire comprising 15 questions. It was intended for parents of children with chronic inflammatory bowel disease. Results: 90% of all surveyed parents of children who participated in the survey confirm that their child has a quality life despite the disease. Parents would rate a child’s overall health as good in 55%. The study found that children have the same dietary pattern (fatty and spicy foods) that exacerbates the symptoms of chronic inflammatory bowel disease. Parents of children agree that they get the most information about nutrition from a doctor and a nurse. Discussion and conclusion: The doctor and nurse play an important role in ensuring the well-being of children. Parents and children learn about their own with chronic inflammatory bowel disease. They emphasize the importance of a diet that contributes greatly to a better person.
