Abstract:V diplomski nalogi nas je predvsem zanimalo vprašanje, kakšne so podobnosti in razlike med kriminologijo v ruralnih in urbanih okoljih. Najprej smo definirali pojme, povezane s kriminologijo in kriminaliteto, ter ugotavljali, kakšne so povezave med kriminaliteto na podeželju in v mestih. Zanimale so nas oblike nasilja, ki se dogajajo na teh območjih, zakaj do njih prihaja in predvsem, kakšna je varnost. Nato smo prikazali, kako se s problemi kriminalitete ukvarjajo na različnih koncih sveta ter dodali primere izvedenih kriminoloških raziskav na obravnavanih območjih. Kasneje nas je zanimal nadzor in vloga varnostnih institucij pri preprečevanju kriminalitete, posebej še policijska dejavnost in kako je poskrbljeno za varnost ljudi in premoženja.

Title:RURAL CRIMINOLOGY
Abstract:In the thesis we were interested in the question of the similarities and differences between criminology in rural and urban areas. First, we defined the concepts related to criminology and criminality, and looked for the links between rural and urban criminality. We were interested in the forms of violence that are happening in these areas, why they are occurring, and above all, what are the security issues there. We then showed how criminality is dealt with in different parts of the world, and added examples of conducted criminological research in the areas covered. Later, we were interested in the oversight and role of security institutions in crime prevention, especially police activities and how security of people and property was taken care of.
