Abstract:Namen magistrskega dela je primerjava telesne sestave in telesnih razsežnosti med nizko, srednje in visoko športno aktivnimi dekleti, starimi med devet in enajst let, glede na njihovo telesno sestavo. Telesno težo, telesno višino, podkožno maščevje in kožno gubo tricepsa smo izmerili s standardnim antropometrijskim inštrumentarijem. Z analizatorjem sestave telesa smo pridobili podatke o telesni sestavi merjenk – o deležu vode, proteinov in mineralov v njihovem telesu.

Title:The relationship between body structure and physical exercise among young girls in the second triad of primary school
Abstract:The objective of my written dissertation is the comparison of body composition and physical abilities among the girls, aged nine to eleven, who are barely (low-level of physical activity), fairly (medium-level of physical activity) and highly (high-level of physical activity) physically active considering their body composition. 163 girls of the second triad of primary schools participated in a research. The research was done at eight city, suburban and rural primary schools in the northeast part of Slovenia. Body weight, height, subcutaneous fat and skinfold triceps were measured with a standard anthropometric tool. By using the Body Composition Analyzer we estimated the girls’ body composition, precisely, we estimated the amount of water, protein and minerals in their bodies. A questionnaire on physical activities of children was used to gain the needed data for those girls. In order to achieve statistically significant differences in their body characteristics and composition, we used one-way analysis of variance ANOVA and Sheefe Post Hoc-Test. According to the results, there are statistically significant differences among the fifth-year female pupils who are barely, fairly and highly physically active and the content of minerals in their bodies varies, because the girls who are fairly physically active have more minerals and subcutaneous fat in their bodies than the girls who are barely and highly active. The findings of this research show that there are also huge statistically significant differences in body weight and skinfold triceps among the fifth-year female pupils.
