Abstract:
Podatke smo zbirali s tehniko anketiranja zaposlenih medicinskih sester v KBC-ju Reka. Diskusija in zaključek: Zaposlovanje in zadrževanje zdravstvenih delavcev je zelo pomemben segment upravljanja s človeškimi potenciali, ker brez kvalitetnih, strokovnih in zadovoljnih zdravstvenih delavcev ni mogoče doseči zastavljenih ciljev: »zadovoljen pacient, nudenje kvalitetne zdravstvene oskrbe, prijaznost, dobra komunikacija, pozitiven izid zdravljenja«.

Title:
Personnel management – complexity of employing nurses
Abstract:
The starting point and th purpose of the master's thesis:We studied human resources management, employment and the way of employment in civil service in Republic of Croatia, high level of fluctuation, the reasons for leaving the public service, facing the problem of deficit of nursesin a labor market, dissatifaction of the employed nurses and analysis of reasons for their dissatifaction at work. The purpose of our research was to determine negative factors which affect employment of nurses, with purpose of development of human resources management and adoption of active measures which will affect in reduction of fluctuation and maintaining quality personell in public service. Reaserch metodology and methods:We used quantitativemethodology of research and analytical method of monitoring statistical data. We collected data through the survey of employed nurses in KBC Rijeka. For data processing we used computers program Microsoft Excel and SPSS. Results:In our research we have determined that nurses are not satisfied with their position in society, general opinon is that they as a profession are respected and recognised abroad, but not in Republic of Croatia, they are not recognised among other healthcare professionals. Depite all that, they love their profession and most of them would choose profession of nurses again, because of helping people and taking care of disabled. Most of the data subjects sometimes think about changing a workplace and going abroad, and the reasons for this are dissatisfaction with salary, high levels of stress in workplace, poor working conditions and dissatisfaction of work environment. Discussion and conclusion:Employment and retaining of healthcare proffesionals is a very important part of human resources management because without high quality, expert and satisfied healthcare proffesionals it is not possible to reach set goals: »satisfied patient, providing high quality health care, civility, good communications and positive outcome of medical treatments.«
