Title:Družbeno odgovorno bančništvo v Sloveniji

Abstract:Pri pisanju diplomskega projekta smo se osredotočili na družbeno odgovornost bank v Sloveniji. V prvem delu smo spoznali pojem družbena odgovornost, kako so v letnih poročilih o družbeni odgovornosti poročale organizacije, kaj so družbeno odgovorne banke ter kakšni so standardi poročanja bank o družbeni odgovornosti. V drugem delu diplomskega projekta smo raziskali, ali slovenske banke redno poročajo o družbeni odgovornosti v svojih javno dostopnih dokumentih. To smo proučili s pregledom letnih poročil in spletnih strani slovenskih bank. Na kratko smo opisali družbeno odgovornost posamezne banke in ugotovili, da banke redno poročajo o svojih družbeno odgovornih aktivnostih na spletnih straneh, še bolj podrobno pa v letnih poročilih. Pri drugem delu raziskave smo sestavili anketni vprašalnik. Zanimalo nas je, ali komitenti slovenskih bank v povprečju zaznavajo njihove družbeno odgovorne aktivnosti in ali so zadovoljni z družbeno odgovornimi aktivnostmi svoje banke. Rezultate smo predstavili v grafični obliki. Ugotovitve so pokazale, da komitenti slovenskih bank v povprečju zaznavajo družbeno odgovorne aktivnosti svoje banke oziroma so vsaj malo seznanjeni z njimi. Zdi se jim pomembno, da se njihova banka zavzema za okoljske in družbene probleme in so zadovoljni s svojo banko pri dejavnostih družbene odgovornosti. Družbena odgovornost je širok pojem, je veliko več kot samo dobrodelnost. Vse več organizacij se zaveda svoje družbene odgovornosti in o njej tudi poroča. Banka kot najpomembnejša finančna institucija se zaveda, da je pomembna njena aktivnost družbene odgovornosti, saj lahko pridobi dolgoročno zaupanje strank, zaposlenih in širše skupnosti.

Title:Socially responsible banking in slovenia
Abstract:In this diploma project, the focus lays on the corporate social responsibility of the banks in Slovenia. In the first part, it was defined what the term corporate social responsibility is, how the organizations reported in annual reports about it, what socially responsible banks are and what kind of standards are there for the bank reports about corporate social responsibility. In the second part of the diploma project it was examined, if the Slovenian banks report regularly about corporate social responsibility in their publicly accessible documents. This was examined with the review of the annual reports and Slovenian bank websites. Moreover, the social responsibility of each bank was described in brief, and it was found out that the banks report regularly about their socially responsible activities on their websites and, more thoroughly, in their annual reports. In the second part of the research, a survey was made with the purpose of finding out, if, on average, the bank customers notice the socially responsible activities of their banks, and if they are satisfied with them. The results were presented in a graphical form. The findings showed that, on average, the customers of the Slovenian banks do notice the socially responsible activities of their banks or are at least slightly familiar with them. It is important to them that their bank advocates environmental and social problems, and they are satisfied with it when it comes to the social responsibility activities. Corporate social responsibility is a broad term, and it is a lot more than just charity. More and more organizations are aware of their social responsibility and report about it as well. The bank, as the most important financial institution, is aware that its social responsibility activities are important because in that way, it can gain long-term trust of their customers, employees and wider community.
